Black Stone Swallow Rubber Leg

The Jack Gartside Sparrow has been tied in many variations. Don Cass tied the Sparrow with a pheasant marabou body and called it the Swallow. Since the ‘80s I have used many different body styles with tremendous success. The Black Stone Swallow is no exception. This unique tie has been very successful and should be a part of any fly collection. Fished prior to the salmon fly hatch and/or as the rivers start to clear after the run-off are two examples of when this pattern has had great success.
