Beetles are another terrestrial that trout eat with little fanfare. They quietly eat them and go about their business. It is not like a hatch where the fish sit in a feeding lane and pick them off one by one. They eat them when they are available. So the beetle is always a good pattern to fish below willows and other vegetation overhanging the water, river or lakes!
