Floating emergers are another stage of the mayfly that is important to the fisherman. The transitional stage between the emerger, and the emergence of the adult from the nymphal shuck is where the floating emerger comes in handy. Again this stage is very vulnerable for the insect but very easy for the trout feeding on the floating emergers. These are worth having in your fly box.
