Bead Head, Red Pheasant Tail

Red pheasant tail becomes very dark underwater and gives off a very different vibe compared to the standard pheasant tail. If you pick up a rock in the river and turn it over, there will be many mayfly nymphs, cased caddis, and stoneflies crawling around and stuck to the rock. Look closely and notice that some of those mayflies and stoneflies are very dark in color. The red pheasant tail is a subtle change in color, and sometimes that is all it takes. This can be the difference between a good day and a tough day.
